Where will you be working?

You will work at our DPD depot in Joure and will be responsible for part of the daily logistics operation. Together with a colleague team leader, you ensure that thousands of packages are processed safely and on time. You report directly to the Operations Manager. You work in a fixed rotating schedule:

• afternoon shift: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM;

• night shift: 2:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

You work two weeks in the night shift and then two weeks in the afternoon shift. During the night shift, you have Mondays off and work on Saturdays.

What will you be doing?

You start your shift by analyzing operational figures and making the plan. During the daily briefing, you discuss goals and focus points with your team. Throughout the shift, you manage productivity, quality, and safety, solve bottlenecks, and ensure that the operation runs according to plan. You also actively think about improvements within the depot.

Your responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, and motivating logistics employees.

• Creating and monitoring the daily staff schedule.

• Monitoring KPIs, quality, safety, and productivity.

• Identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks.

• Facilitating daily briefings and ensuring clear communication.

• Initiating and implementing process improvements.

What do we offer you?

• A salary between € 2931.25 and € 4187.50 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

• A position for 38.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.

• Favorable ORT (irregularity allowance):

  o 30% between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM;

  o 45% between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM;

  o 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  o 100% on public holidays;

What do you bring?

• MBO level of education, preferably in logistics.

• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.

• Experience in logistics, transportation, production, or operations.

• You have a good command of the English language. Dutch is a plus, but even if you are still learning the language or willing to learn it, we would like to meet you.

• Experience with LEAN is a plus.

• You are coaching, results-oriented, and take initiative.
