For our new location in Meppel, we are looking for a Senior Employee Operations. You are a key player within our logistics operation. You actively work on the shop floor, support colleagues where needed, and help ensure that our parcel flows are processed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.

What will you do?

As a Senior Employee Operations, you combine operational tasks with a coordinating role. You are visibly present on the shop floor, monitor the progress of processes, and support the Teamleader Operations in the daily management of the team.

An average workweek consists of:

• Loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels;

• Monitoring progress, quality, and safety;

• Supporting colleagues in daily tasks;

• Instructing, guiding, and motivating employees;

• Identifying operational bottlenecks;

• Acting as a point of contact on the shop floor;

• Supporting and replacing the Teamleader Operations;

• Contributing to optimal staff deployment;

• Actively proposing improvement suggestions;

• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Working in a dynamic logistics environment

At DPD, the operation runs day and night. Therefore, you work in a fixed schedule with alternating shifts:

• Night/morning shift: 03:00 am to 11:30 am

• Afternoon/evening shift: 11:00 am to 7:30 pm

You are willing to work both shifts according to a predetermined schedule.

What do we offer you?

• A salary between € 2,501.82 and € 3,574.03 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

• A position of 38.75 (1 fte) hours per week.

• Favorable ORT (irregularity allowance)

  • 30% between 8:00 pm and 12:00 am;

  • 45% between 12:00 am and 6:00 am;

  • 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  • 100% on public holidays;

What do you bring?

• MBO level of education.

• Experience in a logistics, operational, or production environment.

• Experience in guiding or supervising colleagues is a plus.

• Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

• Good communication skills.

• A proactive and energetic work attitude.

• Resilience and sense of responsibility.

• Eye for both people and processes.
