Build a new DPD location in Meppel

Are you a leader with experience in logistics, distribution, transport, or production? Do you get energy from managing employees and improving processes? Then we have a great challenge for you.

We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader for our location in Meppel who will be responsible for the daily management of our parcel operation. You will manage employees, monitor team performance, and ensure that each shift runs safely, efficiently, and according to plan.

What will you do?

As a Logistics Team Leader, you will lead an operational team together with colleagues in a dynamic environment where every minute counts.

An average workweek includes:

• Managing employees on the work floor;

• Coordinating all incoming and outgoing parcel flows;

• Monitoring quality, safety, and productivity;

• Tracking operational KPIs;

• Resolving process disruptions;

• Coaching and developing employees;

• Ensuring efficient staff planning;

• Initiating improvements within the operation;

• Providing reports and handovers.

Working in a dynamic logistics environment

At DPD, the operation runs day and night.

Therefore, you will work in a fixed schedule with alternating shifts:

• Night/morning shift: 03:00 AM to 11:30 AM

• Afternoon/evening shift: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

You will lead a team of permanent employees and senior employees, supported by a flex pool of 30 to 40 colleagues.

What do we offer you?

• A salary between € 2,931.25 and € 4,187.50 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

• A position of 38.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.

• Favorable ORT (irregularity allowance)

  • 30% between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM;

  • 45% between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM;

  • 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  • 100% on public holidays;

What do you bring?

• MBO+ or HBO level of education.

• Experience as a team leader, supervisor, shift leader, or manager in logistics, production, warehousing, or transport.

• Experience in managing operational teams.

• Knowledge of KPI management and staff planning.

• Good communication skills.

• A coaching leadership style.

• Willingness to work in varying afternoon and night shifts.
