Logistics Team Leader Meppel

Would you like to help build a new DPD location and lead a team in a logistics environment where no two days are the same? Then we are looking for you as our Logistics Team Leader in Meppel. In this role, you will lead an operational team on a daily basis. You ensure safe and efficient parcel processing, drive performance, and help your team achieve the best possible results every day.

Where will you be working?

You will join a new team at our Meppel location. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with fellow Team Leaders to manage a team of permanent employees and senior operators, supported by a flexible workforce of 30 to 40 colleagues. You will work in a fixed rotating schedule with the following shifts:

• 03:00 - 11:30 (night/morning shift);

• 11:00 - 19:30 (afternoon/evening shift).

What will you do?

• Lead, coach and develop employees.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing parcel flows.

• Monitor quality, safety and productivity.

• Manage KPIs and operational performance.

• Identify and resolve process disruptions.

• Ensure efficient workforce planning.

• Initiate and implement process improvements.

• Prepare reports and handovers.

What do we offer you?

• A salary between € 2,931.25 and € 4,187.50 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

• A position of 38.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.

• Favorable ORT (irregularity allowance)

  • 30% between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM;

  • 45% between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM;

  • 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  • 100% on public holidays;

What do you bring?

• MBO+ or HBO level of education.

• Experience as a team leader, supervisor, shift leader, or manager in logistics, production, warehousing, or transport.

• Experience in managing operational teams.

• Knowledge of KPI management and staff planning.

• Good communication skills.

• A coaching leadership style.

• Willingness to work in varying afternoon and night shifts.
