Logistics team leader

As a logistics team leader, you are responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily operational processes in Oirschot with your team. With your leadership skills, you provide a solid foundation for the entire team to perform optimally. Your main task is to manage, guide, coach, and motivate employees. You also work on optimizing the logistics process and have plenty of room to contribute ideas.

Your responsibilities:

• At the start of the shift, ensure all employees are present for the daily briefing where you share important information and key points;

• Ensure everyone is aligned and that KPIs based on safety, quality, cost, productivity, and people are achieved; throughout the day, monitor and ensure issues are resolved.

• Also, monitor the safety and health of logistics employees, prevent future incidents, and ensure a smooth handover at the end of your shift.

• Work closely with your fellow team leader and report to the operations manager.

During a shift, you collaborate with other team leaders, each leading their own team. You coach a team of about 10 permanent staff and 25 temporary workers. There is a pleasant atmosphere where colleagues pay attention to each other. There is a decisive and solution-oriented collaboration. In addition to achieving results together, work enjoyment is central.

What do you bring:

• Relevant leadership experience in parcel logistics;

• Completed vocational education, preferably in logistics; 1-2 years of relevant work experience in parcel logistics;

• Experience with LEAN is a plus; a team player who is stress-resistant and thinks in possibilities;

• Good command of the English language;

• Flexibility: you work alternating shifts from Monday to Friday between 2:00 pm and 10:30 pm, and between 10:30 pm and 7:00 am, and on Sunday evenings from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.

  • 50% on Saturdays and Sundays;

  • 100% on public holidays;
